Arvato SE, a third-party logistics provider or 3PL, wanted to boost picking efficiency, support rapid volume growth, and ensure consistently high service levels for its diverse range of clients. The supply chain management and e-commerce company has deployed a rack-to-person system from Geekplus Europe GmbH at its facility in Poznań, Poland.
“With this new system in Poznań, we’re strengthening our ability to respond quickly to our clients’ growth while giving our teams modern tools that make daily operations faster, safer, and more reliable,” said Lidia Ratajczak-Kluck, managing director of Arvato in Poland. “Flexible automation is central to our strategy as a 3PL – it allows us to scale for peaks, onboard new product ranges quickly, and consistently deliver high service levels.”
Gütersloh, Germany-based Arvato Supply Chain is a division of Bertelsmann. The service provider has more than 100 locations in 17 countries, including 18 locations with about 561,667 sq. m (6 million sq. ft.) of warehouse space in the Americas.
Arvato automates for speed, flexibility
E-commerce has grown rapidly in Poland, and the country’s logistics sector is racing to modernize, according to Geek+. 3PLs are rapidly adopting automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to stay competitive and manage fluctuating demand, it noted.
Arvato needed flexibility and scalability to respond. Following its automation roadmap, the company introduced the Geek+ system at its 48,000-sq.-m (516,667-sq.-ft.) logistics center in Poland.
A fleet of P800 picking robots brings entire racks directly to ergonomically designed workstations, significantly accelerating order picking while reducing walking distances for employees, said the companies. In addition, the system helps optimize storage space by supporting a higher-density arrangement of racks.
“Arvato’s Poznań site is a great example of how mobile robotics can unlock new levels of performance for 3PLs,” said Rafal Sek, sales manager for Poland at Geekplus EMEA. “Our rack-to-person technology gives logistics providers the flexibility to expand robot fleets and workstations step by step, so they can adapt quickly to changing customer demands without rebuilding their warehouses.”
Geek+ continues global expansion
Geek+ said its implementation with Arvato follows its long-term strategy in Poland, which has rapidly become one of its most important markets in Europe.
Düsseldorf, Germany-based Geekplus Europe is a subsidiary of Beijing-based Geekplus Technology Co. Founded in 2015, Geek+ reported that its revenue increased by 31% in the first half of 2025.
The company was listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange in July. Geek+ was recognized with a 2025 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for Unilever PLC’s deployment of its SkyCube automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS).
In October, Geek+ said it has been developing the RoboArm automated picking station using the Geek+ Brain.
