Bailey Equipment & Intralogistics yesterday announced a strategic partnership with GreyOrange Inc.

“At Bailey, we’re always looking for ways to help our customers solve real-world challenges in their warehouse operations,” said Ryan Bailey, the president of Bailey. “Partnering with GreyOrange gives us the ability to offer scalable, intelligent automation that meets the demands of today’s supply chain while building a foundation for tomorrow.”

Founded in 1949, Bailey is a provider of material handling systems across Tennessee, northern Georgia, and southeastern Kentucky. The Nashville-based company claimed that it is a zero-waste forklift dealership committed to sustainability, community involvement, and operational excellence.

GreyOrange offers intelligent orchestration

GreyOrange said its GreyMatter platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to manage the flow of goods within a facility. The Roswell, Ga.-based company said it continuously analyzes inventory data, workforce availability, and order demand to make more than 1 million decisions per minute.

GreyMatter can help operations get more done, faster, and with fewer errors, asserted GreyOrange. The system learns as it goes, refining workflows in real time and becoming more efficient with every performance cycle, it said.

Through GreyOrange’s Certified Ranger Network, GreyMatter supports a range of curated robots for many fulfillment needs. The company said it can support a range of customers, whether they’re planning a greenfield or brownfield project, a series of incremental automation, or an all-in-one warehouse transformation.

Founded in 2012, GreyOrange said its GreyMatter and gStore systems use AI to continuously optimize automation, inventory, and workforce management for some of the world’s largest retailers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).

Last month, enVista launched its proprietary enMotion platform, which uses GreyMatter and multiple robots to optimize distribution center operations. Earlier this month, GreyOrange named industry veteran Saurabh Gupta as chief technology officer.

GreyMatter helps Bailey improve operational efficiency

Bailey said it serves hundreds of businesses with its intralogistics systems, which include forklifts, racking, warehouse design, and service. The company said the addition of GreyMatter enables it to further enhance warehouse performance while solving common challenges including labor shortages, accuracy gaps, and rising operational demands.

Through this partnership, Bailey now brings GreyOrange’s automation capabilities to customers, enabling:

  • Real-time orchestration of tasks across workers and robots
  • Scalable robotic systems for picking, sorting, and material movement
  • Dynamic fulfillment that adapts to demand spikes and inventory flow
  • More efficient, flexible operations that reduce bottlenecks and downtime

For Bailey’s customers, this means automation solutions that are tailored, adaptive, and grounded in measurable ROI, the company claimed.

In addition, Bailey said this partnership aligns with its zero-waste approach. GreyOrange said GreyMatter can help customers reduce energy use, improve throughput, and support human workers rather than replacing them.
