Built Robotics Raises $33 Million Series B Round

September 19, 2019

Built Robotics announced today that they are raising a $33 million series B round led by Next47, the global venture fund backed by Siemens. As part of the deal, Next47’s T.J. Rylander will be joining Built’s board of directors.

In addition to Next47, the round include investors:

  • Building Ventures
  • Presidio Ventures
  • Founders Fund
  • Lemnos VC
  • New Enterprise Associates

This brings the total funding to date to $48 million, and the company now has 40+ employees. Built is actively hiring and recruiting for their engineering team.

Built Robotics automates heavy construction equipment for operations at construction sites. Built Robotics does not build the construction equipment, but rather adds their controls to existing construction machines. They currently have three products in their lineup: a skip loader, an excavator and a bull dozer.
