Chang Robotics, which provides engineering services and materials handling equipment, this week announced a strategic partnership with Brightpick. Brightpick supplies warehouse automation systems for order fulfillment.

The companies said their collaboration will yield a suite of technologies to streamline operations for manufacturers and service providers. The suite is also intended to enable users to benefit from Brightpick’s Autopicker autonomous mobile robot (AMR).

Autopicker can pick and consolidate orders directly in warehouse aisles, according to Brightpick. It can pick a diverse range of products using proprietary 3D machine vision and AI algorithms trained on more than 500 million picks to date.

“We are excited to join forces with Brightpick and leverage our combined engineering expertise to empower manufacturers with the tools and resources they need to succeed in today’s dynamic market,” stated Chris Callura, operations lead, strategic partnerships, program manager at Chang Robotics. “Our shared commitment to exceptional customer service and innovative solutions, including the cutting-edge Brightpick Autopicker, will ensure a seamless and successful experience for our clients.”

Chang Robotics and Brightpick combine resources

The partners said they will offer customers in healthcare, food manufacturing, and multiple industries a unique blend of technical expertise and resources. These include:

  • Enhanced automation with Autopickers: The Autopicker AMRs offer efficiencies so warehouses of any size can fully automate order picking, consolidation, dispatch, and stock replenishment, said the partners.
  • Mixed fleet solutions: Chang Robotics said it uses a range of equipment and will customize automated systems to customers’ specific needs and facility layouts.
  • Short lead times: Manufacturers can benefit from the combination of Brightpick’s fulfillment systems with Chang Robotics’ engineering experience, said the companies. They claimed that they can deploy equipment more quickly, provide more reliability and uptime, and reduce labor costs and employee burnout.
  • Easy integration and implementation: Chang Robotics said its team integrates the selected equipment and software with Brightpick to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of automated processes.
  • Flexible purchasing/financing models: Chang Robotics offers purchasing and financing options including traditional ownership, rentals, and lease-to-own arrangements to align with its customers’ budgetary constraints and operations preferences.

“We are thrilled to partner with Chang Robotics to bring comprehensive fulfillment solutions to manufacturers across North America,” said James Cox, chief commercial officer of Brightpick. “This collaboration strengthens our ability to provide clients with scalable customized solutions, expertise, and flexibility to optimize their fulfillment operations. Our clients gain a competitive edge and embrace the transformative power of AI-driven automation”.
