Scandit and Hardis recently partnered to help Dior optimize its warehouse workflows and open the door to real-time insights.

The Christian Dior group brought in over $22.8 billion in profit in 2024. The company offers a variety of luxury goods, including clothing, perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, and even wines.

To keep up with all of this and provide a good customer experience, Dior said flawless fulfillment is key. The company needed a system that would allow it to keep track of its goods in real time, while also keeping warehouse workflows moving.

Dior deployed Scandit’s MatrixScan Counted embedded into Hardis‘ warehouse management software (WMS), formerly Reflex WMS. The technology ensures reliability between warehouses and stores, which has reduced Dior’s shipping control time by 85%.

Scandit and Hardis collaborate on WMS

With MatrixScan Count, warehouse teams capture multiple barcodes simultaneously through Dior’s Order Preparation app. The data captured is verified in Hardis WMS, and instant feedback appears on‑screen via augmented reality (AR). The system guides warehouse operators with intuitive user interface gestures.

In addition, employees use MatrixScan Find during the order preparation process in the warehouse. It updates in-store prices so employees can easily locate the correct item via an AR overlay. Currently a manual process, this will increase workflow speed and accuracy for store associates.

“Dior’s vision demonstrates how smart data capture can revolutionize logistics,” Samuel Mueller, the CEO and co‑founder of Scandit, said. “Our partnership with Dior and Hardis Supply Chain is an example of how artificial intelligence and augmented reality can be combined to give frontline workers real-time insights, enhance legacy operational processes, and create true supply chain innovation — all without the need for additional hardware infrastructure.”

With Scandit and Hardis WMS deployed on handheld computers, workers can automate a variety of other warehouse workflows, including receiving on their existing devices.  The system can read damaged, poorly printed, and even partially visible barcodes, thanks to Scandit’s AI-powered advanced barcode scanning.

Dior plans to further optimize in the future

Going forward, Dior aims to further accelerate the onboarding of new and temporary employees, such as during peak seasons, with the WMS technology.

Additionally, Dior has plans to deploy MatrixScan Count for inventory counting and to duplicate the new Scandit solution in all Dior distribution centers that function with Hardis WMS worldwide.

“At Hardis, we integrate innovative technologies like Scandit’s to enhance both performance and user experience. The project with Dior is a perfect example of this approach: a technology partnership serving the operational excellence of a prestigious client,” said Florent Boizard, General Manager of Hardis Supply Chain.
