Doig Corporation, a Wisconsin-based automation integrator, debuted its off-the-shelf palletizing system Pallet EZ at Automate 2025 this week. The company developed the system, powered by the D:PLOY platform, in collaboration with OnRobot.
“This launch marks the arrival of a completely new category of automation – one designed for the real-world needs of manufacturers today,” said Eric Kraus, Director of Sales and Automation at Doig Corporation. “With Pallet EZ, our customers don’t have to choose between affordability and innovation. They get both, along with simplicity, safety, and long-term scalability.”
The company said that, unlike traditional automation systems that can require weeks of integration and specialized expertise, Pallet EZ is ready to install and deploy the same day. It allows manufacturers to be up and running within hours and adjust to changing production needs in minutes, without programming knowledge or external support.
For small and mid-sized manufacturers struggling with labor shortages, repetitive manual tasks, and growing production demands, Pallet EZ offers a more flexible path to automation, Doig said.
The Cedarburg, Wis.-based company distributes motion control, sensors, vision, machine safeguarding, and pneumatic products. It has been providing manufacturing automation solutions to OEMs and end-users since 1956. Its suppliers include ABB, Doosan, EPSON, Schunk, SICK, and more.
D:PLOY eliminates traditional integration hurdles
Doig said that OnRobot’s D:PLOY enabled applications to be deployed and re-deployed in minutes. This empowers users to handle new workpieces, adjust pallet layouts, and evolve with changing production demands, all in-house, without coding.
By removing the need for complex programming and providing full pricing transparency, Doig’s Off-The-Shelf Solution reduces both risk and cost, the company said. This enables manufacturers to see return on investment faster and scale automation on their own terms.
OnRobot is a developer of collaborative applications. It has been making accessible and flexible industrial automation for manufacturers of all sizes since 2018. It is headquartered in Odense, Denmark, with offices around the world and a network of more than 700 distribution and integration partners.
Notably, the company specializes in off-the-shelf automation, not turn-key systems. Hear from James Taylor, chief commercial officer at end effector provider OnRobot, on how the two differ.
D:PLOY is an automated application deployment platform. It comes with pre-fabricated systems to enable same-day installation and fast changeovers. The company said it can automate high-mix tasks like palletizing and machine tending in just a few hours. Complementing these solutions, OnRobot provides a comprehensive range of Plug & Produce tools – including grippers, vision systems, sensors, and screwdrivers.
