Fetch Robotics announces the Fetch CartConnect500, a new large scale autonomous mobile robot (AMR) capable of lifting and transporting heavy payloads (up to 500 Kg). The new AMR extends Fetch Robotics cart moving product line and (as of press time) is the largest format cart moving solution on the market.
The Fetch CartConnect500 works with a large scale FetchCart solution manufactured by Fetch. The AMR platform for this solution is based on the Fetch Freight500, an AMR with a 500 Kg payload capacity. What is unique about this solution is the scale of the AMR, the cart carriage and the payload that the cart can carry.
The CartConnect500 features a built-in lift module that picks up and drops off a FetchCart, a detachable, industrial-grade cart specifically designed for the CartConnect500. Unique markers located on the legs of the carts allows precision docking during pick-up and drop-off.
The solution will require the Fetch CartConnect500 AMR to operate with a fleet of FetchCarts. The FetchCart can be outfitted with any super structure necessary to hold or carry your products or payload. The FetchCart can be fitted with either a static or active conveyor, capable of hold large pallets or work in process.

Fetch has gained experience in cart moving applications with the smaller sibling: the Fetch CartConnect100 (a 100 Kg payload solution). The Fetch fleet management solution includes all of the functionality to manage operations and logistics of moving carts around a facility. The introduction of the Fetch CartConnect500 adds additional payload for a variety of new applications.

Fetch is positioning the CartConnect500 as a potential replacement for fork trucks in your facility. However, the FetchCart will still require a solution to load pallets onto the FetchCart as its queued for acquisition. The unique value proposition for any AMR cart moving solution is that it enhances the productivity and throughput of the actual AMR.
Here are some applications for a Fetch CartConnect solution:
- Case picking
- Palletization and depalletization
- Completed case pick to pallet wrap
- Transport picking containers to packing
- Movement of packed pallets to shipping
- Line side delivery
- Work cell delivery
- Raw material delivery
- Work-in-process movement
- End of line handling
- Removal of finished goods
- Recycling and trash removal
