Locus Robotics builds its strategic channel with a new partner.
May 21, 2019 – Locus Robotics has announced a new strategic integration partnership with Manhattan Associates which makes Manhattan a licensed reseller of Locus solutions. Manhattan Associates are a leading supply chain and omnichannel solutions provider, and the addition of Locus Robotics solutions to their stable of solutions helps to broaden their capabilities. Manhattan’s warehouse management software is a highly-mobile and flexible WMS using advanced AI, machine learning technology and proprietary algorithms for orchestration of the industry’s first Warehouse Execution System (WES) within a Warehouse Management System.
“Manhattan is pleased to partner with Locus Robotics, a proven leader in the autonomous warehouse robotics market,” said Jon Liberman, Vice President of Enterprise Mobility Sales & Services for Manhattan Associates. “Locus shares our vision and commitment to helping global retail and 3PL businesses become more sophisticated in supply chain and omnichannel execution through technology. We look forward to working together to deliver the latest innovative and results-driven technology solutions to shared customers worldwide.”
“The sustained massive growth in e-commerce has left the supply chain industry at a turning point. Retailers and 3PLs are seeking autonomous mobile robots to solve their productivity, efficiency and labor challenges,” said Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics. “By partnering with Manhattan, we can bring the Locus solution to customers more rapidly and achieve faster time to value.”
What does this mean for Locus Robotics?
We believe that this partnership further strengthens Locus Robotics sales channel, and will enable Locus to find additional (large) sales opportunities. Manhattan Associates (Nasdaq:MANH) is a public company with a large customer base and has been named a Gartner leader 11 times in a row. As a supplier of warehouse management software (WMS), it is a natural extension for Manhattan to integrate deeply to a warehouse robotics solution. This partnership should naturally include a systematic integration between the Manhattan Associates WMS solution and the Locus Robotics fleet management supervisory layer. By signing this partnership and reseller agreement, it should lock in Locus as the robotics partner of choice for the Manhattan sales team.
