Pudu Robotics announced that its service robots are being used in over 50 businesses and brands across Europe. Pudu Robotics’ service robots include the PuduBot, a universal delivery robot, the BellaBot, a premium delivery robot with a cat-like face, and KettyBot, a delivery and reception robot.
The company’s robots are at work in a variety of places across Europe. In Poland, Shell is using the BellaBot and KettyBot to greet customers, inform them of promotional campaigns and assist with order delivery in its automated service station. The company also works with Pizza Hut and KFC in Poland.
In the Netherlands, Pudu Robotics’ robots are at work in Media Market, a European electronics retailer. It has robots in McDonald’s in Slovenia, Nevins Newfield Inn in Ireland and in a photography and videography studio in Italy.
“At PUDU, we see the European market as an important focus for growth and development,” Felix Zhang, founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, said. “European businesses are amongst the most scrupulous with tech innovation, and we believe our industry-leading product range is capable of rising to the challenge. Moving forward, we plan to continue our expansion throughout Europe and provide the very best in commercial service robots to partners around the world.”
Outside of Europe, Pudu Robotics has established a strategic partnership with Coca-Cola and M&Ms. There, BellBot will be assisting the brands with promotional activities. BellaBot is also at work in the Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee’s.
In July, Pudu Robotics launched the PuduBot 2. This new platform features a range of upgrades over the first-generation PuduBot, which was launched in 2017. The service AMR is designed for the same operations as the original PuduBot, but the new features make it more reliable and adaptable.
Editors note: The Robot Report recently reported on news from the company about layoffs within Chinese operations at Pudu, due to intense domestic competition. The company reports that the layoffs were important to optimizing its operations and remaining healthy financially.
