DETROIT — At Automate this month, SEER Robotics showed off its SPT-1000 lift truck, which is designed specifically for closed pallets.
“This forklift redefines industrial logistics with efficiency, flexibility, and safety, addressing key pain points in North American warehousing scenarios,” said the Shanghai-based company.
Founded in 2015, SEER Robotics said it focuses on helping intralogistics integrators and machine builders to build their own autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). It develops and offers a modular platform with localization, navigation, motion control, and artificial intelligence all packaged into one controller.
SPT-1000 is designed for versatility
SEER Robotics noted that its next-generation forklift features an innovative E-type fork structure for which a patent is pending. The SPT-1000, which debuted at ProMat 2025, is compatible with mainstream load carriers such as double-wing pallets, stringer pallets, cages, and racks.
At only 150 mm (5.9 in.) in height, a minimum passage width of 1,300 mm (51.1 in.), and a turning radius of 900 mm (35.4 in.), the robot’s ultra-slim design ensures maneuverability, said the company.
SEER Robotics noted that the AMR combines the advantages of intelligent forklifts and underride lifting robots. This provides stability, even during high-level cargo handling, it asserted.
In addition, SEER said the SPT-1000 can easily adapt to more than 95% of material handling scenarios.

SEER Robotics adds precision, AI for complex environments
The SPT-1000 supports various navigation methods, including laser SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping), natural feature navigation (NFL), QR codes, and reflector-based navigation. With repeat positioning accuracy of ±5 mm and angular precision of ±1°, it can meet navigation demands from static warehouses to dynamic production lines, said SEER Robotics.
The company added that it has equipped its entire lineup of smart forklifts with adaptive recognition and handling technology. Trained on vast real-world data, the AI system has generalized load recognition.
SPT-1000 can identify misaligned pallets and auto-corrects up to ±30° deviation, SEER said. The system can also recognize damaged or deformed pallets, as well as stacked loads, in challenging lighting conditions.
In addition, the forklift can automatically adjust its approach path in complex scenarios to ensure precise pickup and placement.

Forklift features allow for safety, customzation
Front-mounted laser sensors provide 360° coverage, detecting obstacles within 3 m (9.8 ft.) and responding in less than 0.1 seconds, said SEER Robotics.
Multi-layer safety for the SPT-1000 includes emergency stop buttons, audible and visible alarms, and anti-collision bumpers for human-robot collaboration. The robot is ruggedized to easily handle 30 mm (1.1 in.) gaps, 3° slopes, and slippery floors, the company asserted.
Other features for adaptability include a flexible load capacity ranging from 1,000 kg (2,204.6 lb.) standard to 1,500 kg (3,306.9 lb.) for heavy-duty needs. The distance between the fork tines can be adjusted, as can the body height.
The SPT-1000 is compatible with enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and other business systems. It allows for synchronization with robotic arms and conveyors, using SEER Robotics’ software tools for end-to-end smart factory systems.
The company also said its robot supports custom colors and visual identity for corporate branding.
