Snowbot is now Yarbo, an intelligent yard maintenance provider. The company completed its rebrand in June and has announced a new robot, Yarbo.

Yarbo consists of a universal robot body that can swap out different attachments to perform different yard care functions. The robot’s ability to switch out different attachments means users won’t have to buy multiple robots for each individual kind of yard work.

The robot can act as a lawnmower, a blower for leaves and debris and a 2 stage snowblower. The company plans to continue adding more functions in the future.

Yarbo uses a suite of sensors to know its position with centimeter-level accuracy, meaning users won’t have to place beacons around their driveway or yard or bury perimeter wire. The robot comes with a wireless docking station, helping it to continue to work all year long without risking electrical hazards or corrosion forming on exposed contactors.

The robot comes with intelligent obstacle detection and avoidance built in so that it can detect and react to objects through rain, sleet or snow.

The company was founded in 2015 in Shenzhen, and established a branch in New York in 2019. Its new slogan is “Yard Work Innovation”. It released its Snowbot in December 2021 as a battery-powered, autonomous snow blower.
