Top 10 automated warehouse stories of September 2024

September 2024 was a busy month for warehouse automation providers, integrators, and users. Last month, stories about inventory management, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) drew our readers’ attention.

10. Pickommerce obtains $3.4M for PickoBot piece-picking robot

Pickommerce announced that it has secured $3.4 million in funding to advance the development, production, and marketing of its PickoBot piece-picking robot. The Meitar, Israel-based company said it has delivered the “missing link in achieving a fully autonomous warehouse workflow.” Read more.

9. AutoStore enhances grid storage, from temperature zones to control software

Grid storage systems continue to evolve to support automated fulfillment in more markets. In September 2024, AutoStore announced its Multi-Temperature Solution an expanded 18-level grid, its Motorized Service Vehicle, and enhancements to its cube control software. Read more.
