FlexQube has received an Issue Notification from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) regarding its Navigator AMR system. The patent for the system will be issued on October 3, 2023 and will be valid until 2041.
The patent is part of FlexQube’s strategy to protect its developed technologies. A corresponding patent has already been granted in the EU and the United Kingdom. Corresponding patent applications are also being evaluated by patent offices in Mexico, South Korea, Japan, China, Canada, and India.
“This is very good news for FlexQube, because the patent will protect our innovative AMR system in the United States, which is FlexQubes main market with 55 % of the total sales in 2022,” Linn Bladlund, the VP of Products at FlexQube, said. “The AMR system, that has been developed over the past three years, includes a “non load carrying” autonomous robot, the FlexQube Navigator, and motorized carts designed with FlexQube’s patented building block system. The patent refers to the technology of lifting the AMR from the ground while it is coupled to a motorized FlexQube cart, enabled by a smart coupling interface, creating a combined AMR system.”

The patent also serves as evidence that FlexQube’s modular strategy is innovative in a market that is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
Last year, FlexQube received an order for its eQart Line Robots from L’Oréal USA worth $290,000. The robots were deployed in one of the distribution centers of L’Oréal during the third quarter of 2022. FlexQube is a 2022 RBR50 honoree for its eQart Navigator solution. Although not explicitly a part of the L’Oréal order, the eQart Navigator is another option for intelligently moving eQart throughout a facility.
FlexQube was founded in Sweden in 2010 and has since sold over 30,000 cart systems. Today it operates in 37 countries and has served over 900 customers.
