Vecna Hires Denis Lussault to Lead Automation Division

Waltham based Vecna Robotics announces the hiring of Denis Lussault as vice president of their automation division. The role is new for Vecna, but as Vecna expands their technology and reach as an automation software and hardware vendor, the need for experienced leadership in the division became apparent.

Lussault brings 20 plus years of experience to the role. Most recently he was vice president of Americas for Balyo, who is a Vecna competitor in the AMR operating system market. Lussault was with Balyo for 7 years.

“As companies around the world demand automation to improve operational efficiencies and simplify workflows, Vecna Robotics is best positioned to capitalize on the need,” said Lussault. “The company is the proven leader in AMR with a innovative spirit and deep customer focus. I’m honored to join the growing team, and I look forward to bringing a full suite of autonomous robots and orchestration software to market that helps distributors and manufacturers ensure resiliency in the supply chain.”

The Autonomy division is in charge of developing the robots, from the initial prototype design to the release of the product for mass production. The teams are responsible for mechanical design, electrical integration, and embedded software development. The division also supports the validation and testing of those platforms.

Vecna is on a growth path this year as they build and deliver both software and hardware solutions to the AMR marketplace. Vecna’s strategy is to dominate the orchestration layer of machine workflow and control with their Pivotal solution. The Mobile Robot Guide sees validation in this strategy with the announcement of Denis Lussault to lead the automation division.

“This has been a historic year for us, and adding a proven leader like Denis to our team only builds on that momentum,” said Daniel Theobald, Founder and CEO, Vecna Robotics. “Automation and orchestration are key differentiators for Vecna Robotics, stemming from our commitment to help customers tackle some of the most complex supply chain and material handling problems. Denis will help us meet the growing demand for our offerings, working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to build the most innovative, flexible and resilient AMRs.”
