Supply chain company YCH Group last week entered into a strategic partnership with Sime Darby Property Berhad, a Malaysian property developer. The collaborators said they plan to explore industrial and logistics development in Malaysia.
At the heart of this collaboration is the development of YCH’s flagship facility in Bandar Bukit Raja, Malaysia. Formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), the partners said it will build on their complementary strengths.
“This collaboration reflects our commitment to shaping Malaysia as a key logistics hub in the global economy,” said Ryan Yap, the country general manager of Malaysia at YCH Group.
“By developing and connecting strategic nodes through the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network, we are laying the foundation for seamless trade, innovation, and sustainable growth across the region,” he stated. “We hope that this partnership with Sime Darby Property will not only enhance connectivity, but also position Malaysia as a driver of global trade.”
Bandar Bukit Raja facility to deploy automation
The Bandar Bukit Raja facility will bridge regional and international trade flows while aligning with the SuperPort concept, said YCH Group. The company is investing RM 500 million (about $112 million U.S.) in the new logistics hub, which will be modeled after YCH’s Supply Chain City in Singapore.
That facility features YCH’s patented Fusionaris system. It described Fusionaris as a fusion of an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) with a “ramp-up warehouse-integrated solution.”
Complementing the ASRS are advanced technologies such as real-time warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory-counting drones, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
“Together, these technologies form an integrated logistics ecosystem,” said YCH. This ecosystem enables optimized logistics management and enhances operational scalability, claimed the company.
In addition, YCH and Sime Darby Property have committed to developing eco-friendly logistics and industrial facilities that adhere to international environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. They said the facilities will integrate renewable energy systems, sustainable waste management practices, and environmentally responsible operations.

YCH Group plans logistics hubs across South Asia
While still in its exploratory phase, YCH Group said its strategic partnership promises enhanced efficiency, sustainability, and integration among its assets across the region and beyond.
In the longer term, the company said it hopes to develop interconnected smart logistics hubs throughout South Asia. This would enhance regional connectivity, foster innovation, and unlock new opportunities in high-growth markets, it said.
The initiative will also facilitate smooth trade across the region, attract foreign investment, and strengthen South Asia’s position as a competitive trade bloc within the global economy, according to YCH.
Singapore-based YCH said it is an “end-to-end” supply chain solutions provider, with a presence in more than 100 cities across the Asia-Pacific region. The company said it focuses on boosting productivity and sustainability for its customers with its suite of award-winning systems across industries. These markets include fast-moving consumer goods, electronics, chemicals, healthcare, cold chain logistics, and e-commerce.
